(NSI News Source Info) WASHINGTON - March 7, 2011: U.S. Department of Defense, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Public Affairs) Contracts issued March 7, 2011 are undermentioned;

CONTRACTS

NAVY

Bristol Design Build Services, LLC*, Anchorage, Alaska (N40085-11-D-8007); Grahams Construction, Inc.*, Delco, N.C. (N40085-11-D-8008); The Guerrero-Pence Group, LLC*, Raeford, N.C. (N40085-11-D-8009); FYI Technology, Inc.*, Apex, N.C. (N40085-11-D-8010); Richard Brady & Associates, Inc.*, Matthews, N.C. (N40085-11-D-8011); and WECC, Inc.*, Fayetteville, N.C. (N40085-11-D-8012), are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract for general construction projects at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station New River, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, and other outlying facilities in North Carolina. The maximum dollar value, including the base year and four option years, for all six contracts combined is $100,000,000. The work to be performed provides for new construction, demolition, repair, total/partial interior/exterior alteration/renovation of buildings, systems and infrastructure, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, communication systems, installation of new or extensions to existing high voltage electrical distribution systems, extensions to the existing high pressure steam distribution systems, extensions to the potable water distribution systems, extensions to the sanitary sewer systems, additional storm water control systems, painting, removal of asbestos materials and lead paint, and incidental related work. WECC, Inc. is being awarded task order 0001 at $123,266 for the redesign of lockers at Building TT-22 at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C. Work for this task order is expected to be completed by April 2011. All work on this contract will be performed in Jacksonville, N.C.; Havelock, N.C.; and other outlying facilities in North Carolina. The term of the contract is not to exceed 60 months, with an expected completion date of March 2016. Contract funds for task order 0001 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 26 proposals received. These six contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contracts. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems, Land and Armament Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $13,820,262 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (M67854-09-C-6006) to exercise option period two, which provides continued support for technical, engineering, and management services for the Assault Amphibious Vehicle System. Work will be performed in Quantico, Va. (80 percent), Albany, Ga. (10 percent), and Barstow, Calif. (10 percent). Work for this option is expected to be completed March 31, 2012. Funds in the amount of $2,500,000 are obligated to incrementally fund the option. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

Danilo D. Lopez Associates, Inc.*, Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded a maximum amount $10,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract for preparation of plans and specifications for bachelor quarters and other architectural projects in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii area of responsibility (AOR). The work to be performed provides for preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, design analysis and/or preparation of design-build request for proposal contract documents, field investigation, engineering study, geotechnical investigation, topographic survey, interior design, post construction award services, and other related services. Work will be performed at various Navy and Marine Corps facilities and other government facilities within the NAVFAC Hawaii AOR, and is expected to be completed by March 2016. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 19 proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Hawaii, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62478-11-D-5013).

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Williston, Vt., is being awarded a $7,838,160 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed price contract (N00421-10-C-0024) to exercise an option to procure 22 M61A2 20mm lightweight Gatling gun systems in support of the F/A-18 E/F Strike Fighter Program. Work will be performed in Burlington, Vt. (50 percent), and Saco, Maine (50 percent), and is expected to be completed in April 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., was awarded on March 3 a $64,285,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee contract. The award will provide for product support, logistical support and sustainment operations to the Extended Range/Multi-Purpose Quick Reaction Capability Unmanned Aircraft System. Work will be performed in Poway, Calif.; Adelanto, Calif.; Palmdale, Calif.; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Hunt Valley, Md., with an estimated completion date of Nov. 7, 2011. One bid was solicited with one bid received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-09-C-0153).

Ceradyne, Inc., Costa Mesa, Calif., was awarded on March 2 a $56,565,600 firm-fixed-price contract. The award will provide for the procurement of 120,000 enhanced small arms protective insert plates. Work will be performed in Costa Mesa, Calif., with an estimated completion date of Sep. 30, 2011. Three bids were solicited with three bids received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W91CRB-09-D-0001).

BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc., Rockville, Md., was awarded on March 2 a $32,939,312 cost-plus-award-fee contract. The contract has a cumulative total of $70,441,134. The award will provide for logistical support and services consisting of the three major functional areas of maintenance, transportation and supply on the islands of Oahu and Hawaii. Work will be performed in Schofield Barracks, Oahu; East Range, Oahu; Wheeler Army Airfield, Oahu; Fort Shafter, Oahu; and Pohakuloa Training Center, Hawaii, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2018. Fifty-four bids were solicited with seven bids received. The Regional Contracting Office-Hawaii, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (W912CN-08-C-0085).

AIR FORCE

Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $50,637,860 cost-plus-award-fee contract modification for proactive technical management to enable more effective program execution, which involves managing a technical baseline, interfaces and system performance by performing systems engineering and integration. Work will be performed at El Segundo, Calif. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Global Positioning Systems Directorate, PKP, El Segundo, Calif., is the contracting activity (FA8807-07-C-0002; P00069).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded an $8,881,386 firm-fixed-price contract modification for C-5 RERP Lot 4 readiness spares package, part two, for Dover and Travis Air Force Bases. One bid was solicited and one received. ASX/WLSK, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8625-07-C-6471; P00076).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Meridian Airport Airport Authority, dba Meridian Aviation, Meridian, Miss., is being awarded a maximum $17,856,639 fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract for fuel. There are no other locations of performance. Using services are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. There were originally 115 proposals solicited with one response. The date of performance completion is March 31, 2015. The Defense Logistics Agency Energy, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-11-D-0108).
